Years ago, way back when I was first getting into the online gaming scene, I ended up picking up a shooter game called Half-Life. It was a lot of fun, and I ended up getting into the mod community, making maps and playing with others online.

I got into a mod called "Snark!", which featured a bunch of different ways of using an alien weapon from the original game. In that, I met someone that kept ending up on the same servers as me. We decided to form an in-game clan, and name it after the Snarks. He picked MysteriousSnark as his handle, and I spent a while thinking of a name.

I couldn't figure one out, so I RANDOMLY (and very stupidly) chose RandomSnark as my name. It was to be replaced with a real name later, but that never ended up coming into fruition.

The name has been a crutch for me, a stupid thing that I was always too lazy to move on from. One of my characters has been growing on me, and after doing a google search, I discovered that it was pretty much unique.

I went on today to create a new DeviantArt page under her name.
